Appointment Ceremony of Chief Scientist Successfully Held

On the morning of March 4, “S.C Chief Scientist Appointment Ceremony” was held in Shenzhen Pingshan District, S.C headquarter, with Mr. Li Shijun, General Manager; Mr. Wu Bo, Vice General Manager/Director of Manufacturing Center; Mr. Zhang Yong, Chairman of the Supervisory Board/Director of R&D Center and other leaders of R&D and technology departments attending this meeting, relevant department leaders from subsidiary company Changzhou S.C also attended this meeting by video conference. We invited Professor Du Xiaolong, Researcher of Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences/ Dongguan Materials Research Institute; Mr. Wang Qi, Dean of Dongguan Research Institute, Peking University; Professor Mai Yaohua, from Solar Energy Research Institute, Jinan University; Mr. Chen Xueli, president of Shenzhen Solar Energy Society; Dean Xu Wenqiang and Dr. Hu Zhao from Shenzhen Clean Energy Research Institute; Mr. Liang Zongcun, Dean of Solar Energy Research Institute, Sun Yat-sen University; Mr. Liu Rensheng, Dean of Shunde Research Institute, Sun Yat-sen University; Mr. Li Xuegeng, Researcher of New Materials and New Energy Institute, Shenzhen Technology University; Mr. Wang Li, General Manager of Shenzhen Rihengli Industrial Co.,Ltd; Ms. Xu Shan, President of Guangzhou Ruxing Technology Development Co., Ltd; Dr. Sun Xiang of BYD Solar Energy Division; Dr. Deng Fei of Biguiyuan Solar Energy Division; Me. Zhou Hongkun, Dean of CSG Development Research Institute; Mr. Shao Hongzhi, Manager of Shenzhen Energy Group Project Development Division; Mr. Dong Zhiqiang, General Manager of Guangzhou RTI Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd and Ms. Rao Qiaoping, Opearation Director of National Innovation Center of recycling Economy in Shenzhen, etc. more than 20 guests attended this meeting, to witness the appointment ceremony of Chief Scientist of S.C. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Zhao Youqiang, Director of the Administration Center.

Prof. Shen Hui, an outstanding leader in the field of solar photovoltaic in China. The host briefly introduced Prof. Shen from his career experience, scientific research achievements, book writing, patent inventions, talent training and other aspects. In view of the book “The Sun in Me” recently published by Prof. Shen, we invite Prof. Shen to sign it and give it as a gift to all the guests in the meeting, which not only expressed our reverence for Prof. Shen, but also expressed our company’s philosophy of advocating scientific research, open sharing and mutual growth.

In the Chairman’s speech, Mr. Li Shijun, the General Manager of S.C group, delivered the speech on behalf of the Chairman, Mr. Yu Zhong, who was on a business trip. First of all, Mr. Li expressed his warm welcome to all the guests and congratulated Prof. Shen Hui for being the Chief Scientist of our company. Mr. Li said that S.C is a company based on the research and development and manufacturing of new energy equipment. At the time when the photovoltaic industry is ushering in new historical opportunities, S.C will step into a new field, a new level and a new stage in the future; we need Professor Shen to guide the company on a new journey.

A short video recapitulated the road of association and deep friendship between Professor Shen and S.C. Mr. Li Shijun, the General Manager of S.C, reviewed the relationship with Professor Shen and expressed his gratitude for the help and direction that Professor Shen gave to S.C during the industry downturn and company’s difficulties. Because of Prof. Shen’s help, S.C has steadfastly practiced its internal skills on the road of research and development of new energy equipment manufacturing with high efficiency, internationalization and intelligence, which has enabled our company to grow in scale and gradually occupy an active position in the PV industry. Mr. Li said that in the current era of global advocacy of low-carbon economy, we has appointed Prof. Shen as the Chief Scientist and engaged in Photovoltaic business around the sun, which is a great event for S.C.

Then, Mr. Li Shijun, General Manager; Mr. Wu Bo, Vice General Manager and Mr. Zhang Yong, Chairman of the Supervisory Board together presented Professor Shen Hui with an appointment letter and a plaque as Chief Scientist.

Professor Shen Hui, who was appointed as the Chief Scientist of S.C, gave a heartfelt speech, briefly introduced his school and work experience on the road of “Sun”, and deeply analyzed the content and arduous course of the book “The Sun in Me”. Professor Shen explained the culture, history and allusions of the “Sun” over the past 5,000 years in easy-to –understand and interesting way, expressing his love and persistent pursuit of the “Sun” business. Prof. Shen said that after becoming the Chief Scientist of S.C, he would rely on the platform of S.C to carry forward the cause of “Sun” and fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the Chief Scientist. 

We invited Professor Shen’s close friends, Mr. Du Xiaolong, a research of Dongguan Institute of Materials Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Mr. Wang Li, General Manager of Shenzhen Rihengli Industrial Co.,Ltd; Professor Mai Yaohua of Institute of Solar Energy, Jinan University, and Ms. Xu Shan, President of Guangzhou Ruxing Technology Development Co., Ltd to deliver important speeches. All four guests expressed their warm congratulations to Prof. Shen for becoming the Chief Scientist of S.C and their gratitude to Prof. Shen for his help and support to their company and personal development; they also gave their respect for Prof. Shen’s academic expertise and personal charm and their good wishes for future cooperation.

Why S.C appoints Prof. Shen Hui as our Chief Scientist? What does the Chief Scientist mainly do? Mr. Li Shijun, General Manger of S.C, made a summary explanation at the end of the meeting and expressed his hope to play the role of the Chief Scientist as a technical guide and leader, and to cooperate with enterprises, academia and customers to jointly promote the solar photovoltaic business together.

After the ceremony, S.C leaders visited the company exhibition hall with all the guests, and went to Pingshan Grand Skylight Hotel to hold a PV development forum to discuss the development prospects of PV industry and the next development direction. Looking into the future, S.C will continue to maintain the development direction of “Leading Technology”, “Advanced Management” and “First-class Service” and dedicate to becoming the world’s leading new energy equipment R& D manufacturer. As a world citizen, S.C will be always devoted to the production of clean energy and would contribute to the bright future of mankind.
